AFCON 2019: Nigeria 1-0 Guinea

Nigeria has qualified for the second round of 16 after beating Guinea on Wednesday 1-0 at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Omeruo registered his name on the score board at the Alexandria Stadium in the 73 minutes of the second half through a header.

Statistics of the Match shows that Nigeria had 10 shots and Guinea 8. 4 shots on target for the Super Eagle and 3 shot on target for Guinea. On ball possession, 48 percent went for the Eagles, the Guinea got 52 percent to their credit.

Also on ball passes, the Guinea national team had 384, while Nigeria got 352. Out of those passes, 79 percent were accurate for Guinea and 77 percent accurate for Nigeria. 13 fouls for Nigeria, 12 for Guinea, both countries got two yellow cards each. Nigeria had 10 corners and one offside while Guinea played just one corner without an offside.

With the 6 points, the Super Eagles have top the group B and qualified for the round of 16 though left with a match with Madagascar.
