Group, Unions In Edo State Laud APC Choice Of Obaseki

Obaseki/Shaibu Movement and traders’ union in Edo state have praise APC choice of Obaseki for second term in 2020.

Other groups who also lauded the choice of Godwin Obaseki includes market women and other groups with Edo State.

These groups commended APC from the 18 Local Government Areas of the state for adopting Obaseki for the 2020 election.

Leaders of APC had on Tuesday unanimously adopted Obaseki during a meeting with the governor at the Government House.

In a statement, Honourable Damian Lawani, OSM said APC endorsement of Obaseki was commendable.

Lawani said: ”In just three years, Governor Obaseki has performed impressively. He’s delivering on his campaign promises and positively changing the face of Edo State.

”The Governor Obaseki-led administration has indubitably rekindled the hope of Edo people on governance and leadership.

“In Edo State, what we are witnessing is an overwhelming endorsement for the second term bid of Governor Obaseki.

Obaseki has surpassed our expectations. In just three years, Obaseki’s impact on infrastructure, agriculture, education, and economy has repositioned the state as  best.

“The governor’s re-election in 2020 will be taken care of by Edo people as a payback for his visionary and purposeful leadership.

”We are impressed and will ensure that he returns to consolidate his developmental slides. We also commend the APC leaders on this noble decision. We are strongly behind them in ensuring Edo State moves forward.”

Besides, Madam Blacky Ogiamen, leader of Market Women in Edo, said the governor has done well to earn second term.

Ogiamen said: “The achievements of Obaseki in three years across the state surpassed achievements of other leaders in the past.”
