Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, for the first time after his re-election visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday.
Obaseki said he was at the State House on an appreciation visit to the President, following last weekend’s governorship election, which he won and re-elected as governor of Edo State.
Obaseki disclosed after meeting with Buhari that it would be against Buhari’s integrity slogan to return to the All Progressive Congress after securing his reelection through the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Governor Obaseki beat Osagie Ize-Iyamu of Buhari’s All Progressives Congress and others to win the last Saturday’s governorship election in his state.
Recall that he dumped the APC for the PDP when the ruling party disqualified him from participating in its primary election.
Details coming shortly.
