No fewer than 547 students of the Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State have emerged successful at the compulsory global information technology certification examination.
The released results show that non of them underperformed in the digital marketing (google) certification.
It was gathered that the result was the first product of the University policy which took effect in the 2020/2021 session.
Each student in all programmes must obtain global Information Technology (IT) Certification in each session of study.
Caleb University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nosa Owes-Ibie while lauding the students’ performance, said the IT certification would boost the students competency, commitment and enhance their professional credibility.
He added that the feat would also assist the students’ career advancement, make them globally competitive, improve career opportunities – promotion, pay increase, job portability, and enriches their self-image among their peers.
Dr Elvis Otobo, the Head, Public and Community Relations of the institution in a release gave the breakdown of their performance.
He said: ”The breakdown of the IT certification results shows that a total of 547 students who wrote the IT certification examination were successful.
”Three hundred level students that passed were 324 according to the results released on February 12, 2021: while 223 hundred level students also passed according to the results released in March. 19, 2021.
”The IT certification is continuous and compulsory for all students of the institution as Batch B 100L students will write their certification examination soon.”
According to Otobo, Caleb University collaborated with Crystal Marketing Centre, to achieve this result.
