Fear As Jet Crashes At Abuja Airport

A Max Air plane carrying people from Adamawa State reportedly crashed upon arrival at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, sparking chaos on Sunday.

When the Max Air plane made a crash landing at the Abuja airport on Sunday after the tyre allegedly caught fire, there was fear.

The airport’s Aerodrome Rescue and Fire-fighting Service personnel were quickly dispatched to the area to put out the fire.

Dr. Mike Ogirima, a former president of the Nigerian Medical Association, was quoted by Daily Trust as saying that the tyre broke at Yola Airport after takeoff.

However, when the plane crashed-landed in Abuja, there was already emergency personnel on the scene putting out the fire before the passengers boarded at the airstrip.

We give God praise, Ogirima stated. The pilot has informed us that we are still on the runway. We are now disembarking from the runway to be evacuated to the airport building at the arrival hall after he called for the stairs.

We thank God for allowing us to see the tire being pulled out of the ground in Yola as we entered a time of prayer.

We bless God, he continued, adding, “I never announced it as a surgeon so as not to cause any panic.”
