On Wednesday, the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Strike Force, Team A, reported that its agents had apprehended 14 live rounds of ammunition and two rifles from smugglers in Lagos State.
The report claimed that when the suspects noticed the strike force police, they got out of their car and started running.
According to a previous Wednesday story in City & Crime, the controller of the unit’s troops raided criminal hideouts in Ogun and found one automatic rifle, two locally produced firearms, and 35 cartridges.

However, when speaking about the most recent find, the strike force’s coordinator, Mohammed Sani Yusuf, listed the weapons as one pump action gun, one locally produced handgun, and 14 cartridges while displaying some seizures the team had made in recent months.
According to Yusuf, the crew also seized 1,500 bags of rice, 839 bales of used clothing, 3,525 liters of gasoline, 900 bags of cement, tomato paste, and automobiles.
