Afenifere, the leading sociopolitical organization for the Yorubas, and the Coalition for a Better and Brighter Nigeria group stepped up their grassroots mobilization efforts on Wednesday to support Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.
The goal of the grassroots mobilization, according to Eniola Ojajuni, national president of the Afenifere National Youth Council, was to secure five million votes for the LP presidential candidate.
On the sidelines of a two-day training session for various Labour Party support groups that took place at the Ebomi Towers in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, Ojajuni spoke to journalists on Wednesday.
The young head of Afenifere declared, “Afenifere is here to collaborate with CBBN on how to strategize in the upcoming election for the triumph of His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi, who is the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.”

“Our target in Afenifere is to generate five million votes for him.” We are achieving this through voter education and by engaging the public in order to make them aware of the urgent need for the new Nigeria that everyone is calling for.
Isa El-Buba, the coalition group’s convener, said that Nigeria has endured hardship for a very long time as a result of poor leadership.
He claimed that the program, which included participants from various states, was designed to assist the Labour Party in reaching every constituency in the nation during the upcoming election.
He claimed that the elections in 2023 will be the nation’s final opportunity to be saved and returned to the road of progress and development.
El-Buba urged the populace to support Obi so that he could accomplish his goals, calling him the only presidential contender with the capacity to restore the nation.
Because we have not had effective leadership for the past 62 years, Nigeria cannot afford to be led by Tinubu or Atiku. Nigeria is prepared to halt that.
“No amount of their money (Tinubu and Atiku) will help them this time around because Nigerians are wiser.” Their mountains will crumble, and the seed of Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, will overtake them.
“It’s time to save Nigeria, it’s a fight to the finish.” We must be brave to brace the forces.
“We must get the 40 million votes we need to push the Labour Party presidential candidate into victory during the forthcoming election,” El-Buba charged the participants.
