PDP tells Tinubu: “You Should Apologise To Nigerians, Not Run For Office.”

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, should apologise to Nigerians for the suffering caused by his party since 2015, according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign spokesperson, Mr. Charles Aniagwu.
Aniagwu said that Tinubu should apologise profusely for the fact that his party misled Nigerians for the last seven and a half years when speaking to journalists on Monday in Asaba.
He claimed that despite their pledge to help 100 million Nigerians out of poverty, the APC had forced over 133 million of them into extreme poverty.
He claims that the APC promised to lower the price of PMS at the pump to N65 but instead it is now retailing for N250, one of many promises they made to Nigerians in 2015.
“When they arrived in 2015, a bag of rice cost N7500; as of right now, the price is circling around N50,000.
He is coming around to make more false promises to Nigerians instead of going around and apologising for his broken promises.
“If the Buhari administration, which he assisted in bringing into existence, was successful, why didn’t they keep all the commitments they made in 2015?
“Their administration has plunged more than 133 million Nigerians into greater poverty rather than lowering unemployment in the nation,” said the author.
He claimed that instead of making amends for their abject failure, they were simply going around deceiving people once more.
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, a candidate for governor from the All Progressives Congress (APC), was allegedly uninformed of events in Delta, according to Aniagwu, who also serves as the state’s commissioner for information.
In the past seven and a half years, he claimed, the Okowa administration has built over 883 road projects totaling 1,932 km with more than 1,000 line drainages, including storm drainages in Asaba and Warri.
Starting with the creeks, where Tinubu and Omo-Agege alleged that nothing was being done, we won’t hold them responsible because they are unaware of local events.
The internal roads in Burutu, Okerenkoko, Benikrukru, 20.4 Km Obotobo 1 and 2, Yokri, Sokebolou roads, Ogulaha – Youbebe Road, Isama, Kpakiama, Ogbebene, Oviri-Olomu-Egodor, and Kombowei Road in Patani are only a few of the places where we have completed internal roads.
“In the cities, there are the Mariam Babangida, DLA, Cable Road, Okpanam Road, Ughelli-Asaba, and Orogun Township roads, where Omo-Agege is from.
The Ovwor – Effurun-Otor Otor Bridge, Oha-Orerokpe Road Agbarho-Orherhe Road and Bridge, Kwale-Beneku ongoing, Trans Warri Road and bridges, Koka Interchange and Flyover, and the Ayakoromo bridge, among others, are among the 22 bridges that are currently being built. Of these, seven have already been completed.
Aniagwu said that the state government has empowered 13,510 adolescents through its youth empowerment programmes, with 222,000 people directly and nearly 1.3 million indirectly benefiting.

Aniagwu went on to mention more significant initiatives of the Okowa-led administration, such as the Ogheye Floating Market, the ultra-modern State Secretariat, the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, the Ozoro University Stadium, and others.
The Asaba Specialist Hospital, Advanced Diagnostic Center, and Mother and Child Hospital in Owa-Alero and Ekpan are just a few of the successes of the state government under the health sector, according to the presidential spokesman, who also noted that over 1.1 million Deltans have been enrolled in the state’s Contributory Health Commission.
He claimed that the establishment of 45 new secondary and 17 new primary schools throughout the state, the renovation of six existing technical colleges, the building of nine additional ones, the construction of 8,617 classroom blocks, and the opening of the Teachers’ Professional Development Center at Owa-Oyibu were all impressive accomplishments of the Okowa administration.
