Niger Delta Ministry Has No Business In Abuja- Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, has pledged to move the Ministry of the Niger Delta to the South, if elected in 2023.
Atiku Abubakar, claimed that not placing the ministry in the Niger Delta has hampered its effectiveness and ability to serve the local population on Friday during a breakfast meeting with the Abuja Business Community.
“The ministry should be located in the Niger Delta,” Atiku remarked in reference to the proposed Niger Delta ministry. The Niger Delta needs to improve its infrastructure, human capital, and other resources, whether it be in Port Harcourt or another location.
“What has happened, the Niger Delta Ministry has been established, and billions of dollars have been allotted to it. Are the funds flowing into pockets? The Niger Delta ministry will be located there if I am elected.

According to the PDP candidate, Nigerians have experienced both PDP and All Progressives Congress (APC) regimes, and they are aware of which is superior.
“You tried PDP, declared that you desired change, cast your vote for change, and experienced the benefits of that change. If your decision is based on patriotism and the performance of a certain government, you know that you cannot compare PDP with APC because of poverty and insecurity. It is also evident that there is a record for you to look at.
Additionally, he committed to assembling a multinational army to combat insecurity and expel rebels from the West African Subregion.
“I’ve been to numerous West African nations recently, and I told them that Nigeria would return. Did you hear about Nigeria in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) again in the previous seven years as it has been retreating? I promised those presidents that I would reinstate ECOMOG and secure multinational forces to maintain stability, security, and peace in the region. So that we may effectively address this insecurity.
Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State and Atiku’s running mate, stated in his contribution that when Atiku assumed office, the GDP under the military administration was only about 0.6 percent; nevertheless, “by the time they were departing, they had taken the GDP to 8 percent.”
“You have the right person; Nigerians must make the correct decisions,” he said, stating that Atiku was the best candidate for the position. We need a somebody with experience who is willing to work with the young people, women, and especially all Nigerians to bring us out of where we are, to get us back on track, and Atiku Abubakar is that man.
