Buhari Tasks Osinbajo, Others To Declare Assets Before May 29

President Muhammadu Buhari has asked that all outgoing officials, elected and appointed, beginning with the Vice President, collect the assets disclosure form, fill it out, and return it as he has.

The directive was issued by the President on Friday in Abuja after he received his form from Professor Isah Mohammed, Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

President Buhari stated that no one is exempt from the constitutional obligation to declare one’s assets.

He stated that his strict adherence to the constitutional obligation of declaring assets before and after taking office was intended to strengthen best practises, raise moral standards in public service, aid in the development of honesty, and combat corruption.

“I signed, collected and acknowledged receiving my form. From here, I will ask my bank Manager in Kaduna to show me what has gone in and out of my account.
