Caleb University Gets NUC Approval For 4 Part- Time Courses

Caleb University, Imota, Lagos has gotten the National Universities Commission (NUC) approval to operate four part-time courses.

The instruction’s Head of Public and Community Relations, Dr. Elvis Efe Otobo disclosed this in a release on Sunday.

He said that a circular from the National Universities Commission (NUC) with reference NUC/AP/P25/VOL.II/48, dated March 22, 2021, addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Nosa Owens-Ibie and signed by Dr N. B. Saliu, Director Academic Planning of NUC, revealed that the Executive Secretary of the commission, Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed has approved the establishment of the four programmes.

NUC statement read: “I am directed to inform the Vice-Chancellor that the Executive Secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the following Part-time undergraduate degree programmes to be run in the Main Campus of the University only, effective from the 2020/2021 academic session:
1. B.Sc. Economics
2. B.Sc. Political Science
3. B.Sc. International Relations
4. B.Sc. Criminology and Security Studies.

The four part-time approval is coming at the heel of recent approval by the National Universities Commission NUC for the take-off of its law degree programme at its City Campus, Magodo, Lagos.

,Otobo said the Caleb University modern and world class moot court and their fully equipped physical and e-libraries must have earned them these approvals.

The institution also pride itself in best and biggest mass communication building, engagement of globally rated professors and qualified lecturers for all its programmes.
