Dangote Refinery Reports Minor Fire, Operations Unaffected

Dangote Refinery addressed a fire incident that occurred this afternoon at its Lagos facility near Lekki.

According to Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, the fire broke out in a section of the refinery’s effluent treatment plant but was quickly contained.

Chiejina reassured the public that the refinery is operating normally and emphasized that there were no injuries or harm to any staff members.

He stated, “We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, June 26. There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating without disruption, and no injuries have been reported among our staff on duty.”
