Flooding the Lokoja-Abuja Highway Causes Unrest

Flood takes over the axis where a new bridge is being erected around Kotonkarfei town in Kogi State as Motorists and other road users had a frantic time on Lokoja-Abuja highway on Monday.
Commuters were delayed for several hours, because there was a significant accumulation of traffic on the Lokoja-Koton-Karfe road.

Due to the lack of alternate roads, several automobiles became stranded.
Mallam Ahmadu, a driver who spent hours on the road claimed that commuters were uneasy.
FRSC officials, police officers, troops, and youth volunteers were dispatched to the area before order was able to be restored.
Unhappy drivers have taken up all of the highway’s lanes, making it difficult for smooth traffic flow, according to an eyewitness, who also said that the jam on the Murtala Muhammadu bridge in Jamata Community may take longer to clear.
