Polices Releases Teargas on Surging Multitude in Yobe House of Assembly

A surging multitude of supporters have been smoked with tear gas by the Nigeria Police at the Yobe State House of Assembly.

The incident occurred shortly after Gov. Mai Mala Buni had entered the chamber of the State House of Assembly to present his first-ever budget to the House as the Executive Governor of Yobe.

Shortly after Gov. Buni’s arrival at the House, the police could not contend with the overbearing crowd that followed the governor. Many of them struggled to evade the chambers with the governor as a few police personnel on duty unsuccessfully struggled to control them.

Apparently, smoking the crowd with tear gas became the last option for the police to disperse the crowd.

Our correspondent observed that, many asthmatic patients found it difficult to breathe as many more were seen sneezing, coughing and holding their nose with tears running from their eyes.
