Buhari Confers National Honor On 440 Nigerians, 7 Foreigners Under Strict Security

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presenting various categories of national honor medals to meritorious Nigerians at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja.
The celebration of Nigeria’s 62nd anniversary of independence includes a number of events.
President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo arrived at the ICC for the occasion at precisely 10.13am.
To maintain security at the event, an united crew of military, SSS, police, and others plowed all the nearby roads leading to the ICC, Radio House, National Defence College, and others.
Due to the growing crowd at the venue, it was difficult for award winners and their families, friends, media, and other accredited parties to enter.
Over 440 Nigerians and 7 foreigners would get Nigerian National Honours.
Order of the Federal Republic, which consists of Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR), Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR), and Member of the Order of the Federal Republic, are the awards, listed in order of importance (MFR).
Additionally included in the Order of the Niger are the Federal Republic Medal, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), and Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) (FRM).
The GCFR and GCON are typically reserved for and awarded to former Nigerian President and Vice President, as well as past military leaders and Chiefs of General Staff.
While the CON is generally awarded to Justices of the Nigerian Supreme Court, the GCON is customarily given to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) and the President of the Nigerian Senate during their first year in office.
Politicians, public servants, security personnel, diplomats, academics, businesspeople, traditional leaders, religious figures, and attorneys are among those on the 2022 list.
