The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has announced that it will discipline Titi Abubakar’s police orderly, who is married to PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar (PDP).
Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police public relations officer, said this on Thursday and blamed the development on the orderly who carried Atiku’s wife’s handbag to an event in Abuja.
The policewoman holding Mrs. Abubakar’s handbag while she was giving a speech at the ceremony in Abuja on Wednesday drew criticism from a Twitter user.
During her speech at the launch of the SHE Campaign, which she organized to enlist women’s support for her husband’s 2023 presidential campaign, she surrendered her handbag to the police orderly.

Following the sharing of the image of the police orderly carrying her suitcase by twitter user @Fifi Ify, who said the officer had “been converted into a maid,” the image quickly became popular on social media.
“Why won’t the police forget their basic mission and only dance to the tune of the elites when a private citizen may turn a member of our uniform force into her maid? Is this how it’s supposed to be, @BenHundeyin? wrote @Fifi Ify.
Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi responded, saying, “This is not acceptable. We have already started taking the appropriate steps. We’ll find her and tell the principal about her.
“To help us get the woman cops, we’ve contacted the AIG Special Protection Unit. We’ll sanitize the system gradually.
