FG- 8 Days To Swearing-in Of President-elect, Tinubu

The federal government issued a timetable of activities on Thursday that will culminate in the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu on May 27, 2023.
According to the schedule of activities for the 2023 Presidential Inauguration released by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the President-Elect will be awarded the highest national honor of Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on May 25, ahead of his inauguration on May 29, 2023.
“I am delighted to inform you that May 29, 2023, will mark the 7th consecutive democratic transition of power in Nigeria, and on that day, we shall all be ushering in the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Mustapha added.
“Gentlemen of the press, allow me to reiterate President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to a smooth transition of power to President-Elect, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
“As part of this commitment, the president has directed all relevant government institutions to collaborate with and support the transition process by engaging with the president-elect’s team.”

All events, according to Mustapha, will be televised live on all major channels and streamed on various social media sites.
The chairperson of the transition committee further stated that invited presidents, heads of countries, and leaders of international organizations had confirmed their attendance at the events.
