The Lagos-Badagry Motorway was the scene of a fatal car collision on Sunday morning that claimed the lives of no less than 14 individuals, among them a four-month-old infant.
On Sunday in Badagry, Mr Williams Manga, Unit Commander of, Federal Road Safety Corps, made this information public to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Manga said that nine further individuals were hurt in the crash, which happened at the Agemowo axis of the road at about 7.31 am.
He said that a commercial bus (a Mazda) traveling from Lagos with 19 passengers with the license plate MUS 411 XU collided with a stone truck traveling from Badagry with the license plate AKM 926YQ.
The crash happened at 7:31 a.m. as it was pouring severely along the Lagos-Badagry Motorway.
“My guys arrived on the scene of the accident at around 7:41 a.m., and while the deceased was taken to the hospital’s mortuary, they transported the injured to the General Hospital Badagry.

“Of the 14 fatalities, eight are male passengers, five are female, and one is a female infant under four months old.
He claimed that the two vehicles’ excessive speed when it was pouring severely was to blame for the collision.
