University Of Ibadan College of Medicine’s Provost, Deputy Provost Test COVID-19 Positive

Professor Ezekiel Olapade-Olaopa, the provost and Professor Obafunke Denloye, the deputy provost, University of Ibadan College of Medicine have tested positive for COVID-19.

Olapade-Olaopa disclosed this the contacts in his Whatsapp group on Sunday morning.

The WhatsApp message reads:  “Dear colleagues, I wish to inform you that the deputy provost and I tested positive for the COVID-19 following the tests done on Friday.

“Although we are both asymptomatic, we have gone into self-isolation for the 14 days while our contacts are being observed closely to determine if they should also be tested.”

Similarly, the chief medical doctor, UCH, Prof Jesse A. Otegbayo, has also tested positive for coronavirus. This was disclosed in a statement personally signed by the CMD
