Lagos Government Dissolves Park and Garages Committee, Reinstates NURTW

To enable the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to coordinate activities across the state’s motor parks and garages, the Lagos State Government disbanded its Park and Garages Committee (LASPG).

As far as is known, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the State Governor, gave his approval to the decision to disband the LASPG. He is believed to have given the Ministry of Transportation the order to dissolve the committee and reintegrate NURTW into the Lagos transportation system.

This happened just a day after Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the former LASPG chairman, openly announced the comeback of NURTW with thousands of his supporters in the state.
