BY DAYO ADESULU

The Ministry of Justice, Ekiti State has published name and photograph of Reverend Asatru Gabriel for defiling a minor.

Ekiti court has convicted Gabriel and sentenced him to five years in prison for sexually molesting a seven-year-old child.

Rev Gabriel, the convict is presently serving his five years jail term at the federal prison, Ado-Ekiti. While serving his jail term, his name and photograph have been registered at the state Ministry of Justice Sex Offenders’ Register.

The judicial system in Ekiti State said it believes that the publication of sex offenders photograph would serve as a deterrent to others.

Do you agree that Gabriel deserves the further humiliation?  Is the publication of Gabriel’s photograph necessary while serving his jail term?  Your comments are highly important.
