Police Confirm Kidnap Of NLC Chairman In Cross Rivers

Police Command at Cross Rivers State has confirmed the kidnap of the state Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, Ben Ukpepi.
Mr Ukpepi was abducted at his residence in Akpabuyo local government area of Cross Rivers State.
 DSP Irene Ugbo, the state Police Public Relations Officer on Wednesday confirmed the kidnap of Ben Ukpepi.
Ugbo said that the NLC Chairman was kidnapped at about 7.30 pm on Tuesday night by suspected kidnappers.
Mr Ugbo said: “The story of the kidnap of the NLC Chairman is true. Ukpebi was kidnapped in Akpabuyo in his house. “We got the report this morning.
”The Anti Cultism and Kidnapping Unit are on top of the situation to rescue him.”
Anonymous told NAN on phone that Ben Ukpepi was making a phone call within his residence when he was kidnapped.
“ Ben Ukpepi’s family has been calling his line but switched off since last night. Also, Ukpepi’s abductors have not called till now.”  NAN
