Video: Over 10 Nigerians In Indian Prison Since 2017 For Overstay

By LEVI JOHNSON

Over ten Nigerians are presently languishing in Indian prison since January 7, 2017, for overstay in that country. They are calling on the Federal Government to please bring them back to Nigeria. The detainees need flight tickets back home.

They managed to put up a video in the prison calling for the help of the Nigerian government, individual men and women inclusive to come for their rescue.

In the video below, they claimed that the Government of India is willing to deport them but stated that each of the detainees has to pay their flight ticket.

According to them, the Nigerian Embassy in India was also aware of the situation but did nothing about it.

The detainees want the intervention of the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs Abike Kafayat Oluwatoyin Dabiri-Erewa to get them back home.
