Sanusi Seeks Redress In Court Over Dethronement, Banishment

Though the deposed Kano Emir Muhammad Sanusi II took the humiliation of his dethronement in good fate, he has however approached the court for a redress.

He is challenging the Kano State Council for his banishment and dethronement in the court of law.

Muhammad Sanusi II legal counsel, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), declared this to journalists on Tuesday in Abuja.

”The restriction of the Muhammad Sanusi II movement and his dethronement were unlawful and gross violation of his human rights,” he said.
