ASUU Now Embarks On Indefinite Strike

After the weeks warning strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, it has announced the commencement of an indefinite strike.

Biodun Ogunyemi, the President of ASUU made this declaration during a press briefing held its National Secretariat in Abuja on Monday.

ASUU had two weeks ago begun a two weeks warning strike over non-payment of their February salary, Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) and non-implementation of the 2019 FG/ASUU agreement.

The Union went into a series of meetings with the Ministry of works led by Dr Chris Ngige but without a success.
