Fire Guts Jos Electricity Distribution Company Office

The  Electricity Distribution Company headquarters in Jos has gutted by fire on Friday. as it threw the entire area into darkness.

An eye witness said that the fire started on the top floor of the four-storey building at 6 pm.

Dr Adakole Elijah, Head, Corporate Communications of the electricity company, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with The PUNCH.

Elijah said: “Yes, it’s true. Our Head Office In Jos caught fire this evening but men of the Plateau state fire service have been notified and they trying to put out the fire.”
