China Now Becomes European Union’s Top Trade Partner

The Republic of China has now been adjudged the European Union top trade partner ahead of the United States.

The third-quarter report which displayed this result, also pointed out that this slide curve from the US was due to the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the economy.

Though China had the same experience, it, however, rebounded economically.

Over the first nine months of 2020, trade between the EU and China totalled 425.5 billion euros ($514 billion), while trade between the EU and the United States came in at 412.5 billion euros, according to Eurostat data.
