Imo Traditional Ruler Released 24 hours after abduction

Acho Ndukwe, the Chairman of Okigwe Local Government Area of Traditional Rulers in Imo State has been released twenty-four hours after he was kidnapped on Sunday.

The monarch was kidnapped alongside, Eze Paul Ogbu of Ihitte Ihube autonomous community on Sunday has been released.

Ndukwe, Chairman of Genesis hotel, Okigwe, who is also the monarch of Amagu Ihube autonomous community, was rescued on Monday.

The traditional ruler who was kidnapped on Sunday had his palace and vehicle razed by his abductors.

A community source who confided in our correspondent on Monday evening disclosed that the community was happy that their traditional ruler can walk free again.

When contacted, a spokesperson for the police in the state, Micheal Abattam, also confirmed that the monarch had been freed.
