Few passengers onboard a BRT bus plying the Ikorodu road were killed at the early hour of Tuesday. The accident occurred when a truck rammed into a BRT bus. The loaded truck conveying goods along Ogolonto axis of Ikorodu is said to belonging to Alinko Dangote.
An eyewitness said that the truck skidded off the main express and collided with the bus on the BRT corridor. Casualties have been taken to the hospital by Good Samaritans.
The accident has caused a serious gridlock from Ogolonto, leading to Owode community of the Ikorodu road. Within few hours, the traffic backlog has extended to Oja bus stop.
As at press time, the numbers of death was uncertain.
Lagos State Transport Management Authority has removed the two vehicles from the expressway.
