Police Nab Suspected ‘One-Chance’ Robber In Nyanya

Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja have arrested a suspected member of a ‘one-chance’ syndicate at Nyanya under bridge, along Abuja-Keffi road.

A statement by spokesman of the FCT police command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, in Abuja, Sunday, said the suspect was arrested by operatives of the Nyanya police division on surveillance duty along the axis.

He gave the name of the suspect as Mr. Terfa Akaara,  35,  saying the suspect was a member of a one chance robbery syndicate that had been operating along the route.

He said the suspect, who was in the company of other members of his gang, was arrested while scouting for unsuspecting victims in a black golf car with registration number XA 581 TKP.

According to him, the suspect’s cohorts escaped on sighting the police operatives, adding that efforts were on to arrest the fleeing suspects.

Manza said the suspect would be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.
