Buhari Endorses Salihijo Ahmad As New REA MD

President Muhammadu Buhari appoints Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad as managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

The appointment was disclosed on Tuesday morning, December 31, in a statement by the Federal Ministery of Power.

The president also appoints Olaniyi Alaba Netufo as the executive director – southwest and Eddi Mietuade Smith Julius as a non-executive director, south-south.

Recall that the appointment of Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad followed the indefinite suspension of the former managing director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Damilola Ogunbiyi by the minister of power, Sale Mamman.
