Coronavirus: 2,046 Positive Cases In 43 African Countries

On 24 March 2020, there are 2,046 positive cases of coronavirus in 43 African countries, according to Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).

South Africa tops the lead of countries in Africa with coronavirus positive cases recording 554. Closely allied is Egypt with 366 positive cases of the pandemic cases, followed by Algeria with 230 positive cases, while Morocco has 143 positive cases, Burkina Faso has 114 confirmed cases.

Countries in Africa with the lowest records of COVID-19 positive cases are Eritrea (1), Mozambique (1), Somalia (1), Zimbabwe (2), Niger (2), Mauritania (2), Gambia (2) and Angola (2).

Of the 58 death record from coronavirus in Africa. Egypt has (19) and Algeria (17).

Also, of the fourteen countries with recoveries (189) patients, Algeria tops the lead with (77) and Egypt having 68 persons.
