No fewer than 20 Kidnapped Victims from Katsina state have been sold into slavery in Burkina Faso.
It was gathered that the kidnapped victims from the Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, were taken to a certain woman in Cotonou who served as a middleman between the main Slave Merchants and the slaves-to-be.
The reports state that the Cotonou woman was in charge of sales of. Kidnapped victims to some slave Merchants in Burkina Faso.
Governor Aminu Masaru Bello of Katsina state has made commendable efforts to reduce the Kidnap rate in the state.

It has been reported that the Governor has visited the hideout of the bandits to initiate peace talks.
He even began the swap deal where bandits in custody were exchanged for the innocent lives kidnapped.
Insiders disclosed that Bello has traced the twenty Kidnapped victims to Burkina Faso and he’s making plans to rescue them.
