The National Youth Service Corps has unveiled the long-awaited deployment details for its 2025 Batch C prospective corps members, confirming that call-up letters are now available for printing.
The announcement, posted on Monday through the scheme’s official X handle, marks the final phase of mobilisation for graduates preparing to enter the mandatory national service.
Orientation Redirected Due to Camp Capacity Limits
The NYSC disclosed that several prospective corps members originally deployed to Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory will not complete their orientation in those locations. Instead, they have been reassigned to neighbouring states because of limited accommodation capacity.
According to the statement:
-
PCMs posted to Lagos will attend orientation in Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun, or Osun camps.
-
Those deployed to the FCT will undergo their orientation in Kaduna, Niger, or Nasarawa camps.
The redirection aligns with earlier explanations by the NYSC that only about 40% of registered prospective corps members can be accommodated nationwide due to space constraints across the 37 orientation camps.
NYSC Issues Safety Advisory to PCMs
Alongside the deployment details, the scheme reiterated its travel advisory, urging PCMs to avoid night journeys when heading to their assigned camps.
“Prospective corps members are advised not to travel at night to the orientation camp,” the scheme emphasised, stressing safety as thousands prepare to begin their cross-country trips.
The NYSC also reminded all PCMs to print and sign every required document from the portal and bring them along for submission during camp registration.
Mobilisation Timeline and Ongoing Processing
The deployment update follows a series of preparatory steps already undertaken by the NYSC:
-
Call-up numbers for Batch C were released last week.
-
Online registration, which opened on November 4, ran until November 9 for both locally and foreign-trained graduates.
-
Foreign-trained PCMs are currently undergoing pre-camp physical verification scheduled for November 9–13.
-
ICT processing is ongoing between November 12 and 15.
-
Corps-producing institutions are expected to facilitate the printing and distribution of deployment and call-up letters between November 16 and 18, after which PCMs are required to print their letters independently.
With the release of the deployment list, the countdown to the Batch C orientation programme has officially begun, setting thousands of young Nigerians on the final steps toward national service.
