PDP Officially Receives Obaseki As Party Member Friday

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has officially announced that the incumbent governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki has joined the PDP.

The Party made this known on Friday through its official twitter handle. Obaseki joined the opposition party at PDP State Secretariat in Benin.

Godwin Obaseki resigned from the All Progressive party when he was disqualified in the race for a gubernatorial primary in Edo State,

 

Obaseki was received at Edo Secretariat of PDP by National Vice Chairman, Southsouth of the party, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, who was accompanied by Edo PDP chairman Dr Tony Aziegbemi; members of the State Working Committee (SWC) and some chieftains of the party. Obaseki’s reception took place in Aziegbemi’s office.

The embattled governor, however, refused to speak to reports after his meeting with the PDP leadership.
