Gunmen in the early hours of Wednesday stormed the residence of Bashir Mohammed, a member of the Taraba state house of assembly representing Nguroje state constituency, and whisked him away.
At the point of filing this report, the whereabouts of the kidnapped lawmakers is still unknown.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the lawmaker’s house in Jalingo and shot sporadically into the air before taking him away at 1.30 am.
Residents in the area said they lost their sleep for over an hour when the gunmen shot consistently in the air.
