Boats carrying INEC officials and election materials in Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State have reportedly capsized.
But for the timely intervention of the Nigeria Navy, the occupants of the speed boat would have drowned.
Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, the Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command who confirmed the incident, said it was a minor accident.
Ikoro said, “It happened but it was a minor mishap because there was no casualty, and nothing happened to the election materials, everything is intact.”
Meanwhile, feelers said that among all the contestants, the Igbokoda area where the boat capsized is the stronghold of the Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi.
