2026 UTME: Strong Tower Academy Students Share Winning Secrets Behind 340+ Scores

By DAYO ADESULU

Students of Strong Tower Academy have shared the strategies that helped them achieve outstanding results in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with several candidates scoring above 340.

The high-performing students credited their success to consistency, strategic preparation, disciplined study routines, Computer-Based Test (CBT) practice applications, strong support systems, and faith in God.

Among the top scorers was Adeoti Ayobami Daniel, who scored an impressive 359. He explained that he initially struggled with an unstructured reading method before changing his strategy after scoring 308 in the UTME mock examination.

According to him, identifying weaknesses in English Language became a turning point in his preparation.

“I focused more on English and improved from 57 in the mock to 75 in the main examination. I also improved in Mathematics from 79 to 98, Chemistry from 82 to 90, and Physics from 90 to 96,” he said.

Adeoti added that he combined reading with immediate practice using the Prep 50 UTME textbook, CBT applications, online tests, and educational materials from Daily Ed.

Another exceptional student, Olaniyi Oluwajoba, scored 349 and said the difference was not the number of hours he studied but the strategy he adopted.
He explained that he balanced school lessons with self-study while consistently revising difficult topics.

“What made the difference was discipline, consistency, and the right study strategy,” he stated.
Olaniyi said he relied heavily on MySchool CBT, Test Driller, and guidance from his tutor at Daily Ed to master question patterns and improve his speed.

Similarly, Adabonyan Ayokunle Oluwasogo, who scored 344, described his preparation as “deliberate and structured.”

He revealed that he spent five months studying with YouTube educational tutorials and private tutoring sessions.

“Chemistry alone took me three months to finish all 225 episodes, while Physics took me two weeks,” he explained.
Adabonyan noted that weekly timed mock tests and constant feedback from his tutor helped him improve speed, precision, and examination temperament.

For Osunro Ifeoluwa, who scored 343, success came through self-confidence, positive thinking, and understanding personal reading patterns.
“Fear and self-doubt can make even a genius feel dumb. I stayed positive and maximized my daytime because I don’t work well at night,” the student said.

Another candidate, Omotosho Deborah Ayomikun, scored 324 and credited her success to determination, family encouragement, teacher support, and motivation from imagining the joy her achievement would bring to her parents.
“Even after the mock examination, I refused to settle for average. I kept pushing myself,” she said.

In the same vein, Odunowo Daniel, who scored 320, emphasized the importance of mastering the syllabus, using textbooks extensively, and improving speed through CBT practice.

He disclosed that he trained himself to answer 180 questions within one hour instead of two.
“I realized there was a pattern to the examination. All that was needed was consistency and determination,” he explained.

Meanwhile, David Oyebode, who scored 314, attributed his success to discipline and avoiding distractions from smartphones.
He also appreciated his parents for reducing domestic responsibilities during his preparation period.
“I focused on understanding what I read and reviewing past questions consistently,” he said.

Another student, Olaonipekun Zion Olayiwola, scored 312 and said active learning played a key role in his performance.
“I don’t pass exams by cramming. I pass by reading with a system,” he stated.

According to him, he used summaries, self-testing, memory recall, and timed practice questions to prepare effectively.

Also speaking, Folajimi Samuel Oluwaferanmi, who scored 306, highlighted the importance of consistency, regular revision, proper sleep, and confidence.
He explained that studying the JAMB syllabus and practising past questions daily helped him understand the examination pattern better.

The remarkable performances by the students have generated excitement within the school community, with many observers praising the academy’s learning environment and commitment to academic excellence.

Education stakeholders say the testimonies from the students reinforce the growing importance of structured preparation, digital learning tools, and personalized study strategies in achieving high UTME scores.
Parents and candidates preparing for future UTME examinations may also find valuable lessons in the students’ experiences, particularly the emphasis on consistency, smart preparation, self-discipline, revision, and confidence.
