Ibikunle Solomon, a resident of Ondo State, described how his mother, Mrs. Tayelolu Solomon, killed his father, Felix Solomon. According to the eye witnesse, his mother killed his father by striking him with a pestle while he was sleeping.
After first having an argument, Tayelolu is reported to have killed her 67-year-old husband by hitting him on the head with a pestle while he was asleep before running away.
In an effort to apprehend the woman and hold her accountable for her crime, the Ondo State Police Command declared that they are on her trail.
Ibikunle claims that his mother beat his father over the head with a pestle while he was sleeping, then fled the scene while he was still present.
He said that they had gotten into a fight earlier on that fatal day following a little quarrel, and that after the struggle, his mother had hit his father on the head with the pestle.
He lost consciousness during the process and dropped from his sleeping position. “My mother struck my father’s head three times with the pestle before he passed away,” Ibikunle said.
Ibikunle claimed that his mother concealed the pestle at the back of the house and fled after realising that his father was already dead.
He claimed that after informing a few neighbours, they sent his father to the hospital, but that he subsequently passed away.
According to Ibikunle, his father’s body had been put in the mortuary.
The event took place last week when the pair got into a fight, but the suspect is still on the run, according to Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command. She said that the police were already on her trail.
