Kano Approves Death Sentence For Convicted Kidnappers

The Kano State Government has said that any person engaged and found guilty in kidnapping will get the death penalty.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said this when he received the nine children who were abducted from Kano and sold in Anambra.

Ganduje also inaugurated a commission for inquiry into cases of missing children from 2010 to 2019.

He said Justice Wada Rano will head the commission.

Governor Ganduje also directed the Ministry of Justice to immediately commence the process of making kidnapping a capital punishment.

He said the commission will submit the report to the government in 30 days.
