WAEC Explains How Candidates Can Recover Serial Number and PIN to Check 2026 WASSCE Results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has provided a simple process for candidates who need to recover their Serial Number and PIN to access their 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results online.

The examination body said candidates can retrieve their result-checking details through its official portal, making it easier for those who have misplaced or forgotten the information required to check their results.

How to Recover Your WAEC 2026 Result Checker PIN

According to WAEC, candidates should follow these steps:

1. Visit the official WAEC website.

2. Select the “Serial Number and PIN” option from the menu at the top of the homepage.

3. Choose the appropriate Examination Year (2026) and the correct examination diet.

4. Enter your Examination Number and your National Identification Number (NIN). Candidates are advised to ensure the NIN entered is the same one used during WAEC registration.

5. Provide your email address and phone number to receive a One-Time Password (OTP).

6. Enter the OTP to successfully recover your Serial Number and PIN.

Candidates Can Also Download WAEC ID Card

WAEC also announced that candidates can conveniently download their WAEC ID Card directly to their mobile devices through the same platform.

The council advised candidates to keep their recovered Serial Number and PIN secure, as the details are required to access their examination results.

Candidates who experience difficulties during the recovery process are encouraged to use the support channels available on WAEC’s official website.
