Abuja Residents Seek Osinbajo’s intervention Over Land Dispute

Aggrieved residents of Agbagyi community in Abuja on Tuesday barricaded the convoy of the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, seeking for his intervention over a land dispute between the community and the military.

Spokesman to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, stated this via his tweeter handle Tuesday.
The villagers urged the Vice President on his way to the airport to use his good office to prevail on Military to refund their landed property.

The angered villagers who blocked the highway along the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Expressway in Abuja, screaming and that they need their land back from military invasion.

According to Akande, efforts by the Vice President’s security aides to appease the protesters failed, until the Vice President had to alight from his car and assured them that he would address their agitations.
