Following the confirmation of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Wednesday as COVID-19 positive, his wife, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu and the governor’s aide on Thursday have also tested positive for the coronavirus.
It was discovered after the governor Ajeredolu mandated all his aides and appointees to go for coronavirus tests.
Punch reports that one of the aides to the governor, who craved anonymity on Thursday disclosed this.
When asked, the aide said, “Yes mama’s (first lady) result has come and it was positive. One of the security men attached to the governor is also positive and has been asked to go on isolation.”
It was gathered that Mrs Akeredolu has been on self-isolation for the past few days and did not attend any function.
