Popular gospel singers – Yinka Ayefele, Beejay Sax, Mike Abdul on Wednesday stormed Caleb University, Imota, Lagos to thrill the students at a maiden Annual Gospel Fiesta.
The acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Nosa Owens Ibie while addressed the mammoth crowd at the institution’s hall said, apart from thrilling the students, the aim of the music fiesta was to bring the power of worship and word impartation experience to participants.
Speaking on the theme: ‘Unstoppable’ Ibie promised that the event would now be annually, adding, “more popular gospel artists will be invited to the event to perform in the subsequent editions.”
He said: “It was a good thing to be in the presence of God and taking a day out of their lecture days for it is a very good thing.”
Other invited gospel artists include: Keji Hamilton, Big Bolaji, Ugochukwu Onyebuchi and Osinachi Merem.
Apart from the Institution’s Management , also present at the event were the President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev. Dr. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, President, Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Pastor Abraham Akinosun, students of some secondary Schools, like Caleb Secondary School, Kith and Kin School, amongst others.
