Chinese Medical Doctors Land At Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Unperturbed with the critics of Chinese, the Federal Government has gone ahead to import some Chinese medical doctors to help fight the coronavirus pandemic.

The Chinese have arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja Wednesday.

The  Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire on Wednesday in Abuja received the 15- member team h at the airport.

The expatriates are good at infectious diseases, respiratory illness, intensive care, cardiology, neurology, general surgery and anesthesiology.

They arrived with 16-ton test kits, ventilators, disinfection machine, disposable medical masks, drugs, infrared thermometer and other items ordered by the Federal Government.

Under the directive of the Embassy of China in Nigeria and in response to the Federal Government’s request, the team will also share with their Nigerian counterparts effective methods on COVID-19 containment.

Meanwhile, they are to commence their stay in Nigeria by spending 14 days in quarantine.
