COVID-19 Vaccines For Nigerians Arrive Abuja

The first-batch of the long awaiting COVID-19 vaccine has eventually arrived in Nigeria Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The total COVAX vaccine doses imported for the 200 million Nigerians were 3.94 million.

The COVID-19 vaccine was on Tuesday shipped through the COVAX Facility, a partnership between CEPI, Gavi, UNICEF and WHO.

It was gathered that the COVAX vaccine was manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad tweet says:
“Nigeria has just received the first batch of Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID—19 vaccine.”
