The Dangote Group’s pavilion has emerged as a central attraction at the ongoing 2024 Kano International Trade Fair, drawing a significant number of customers eager to explore inquiries and make purchases as the year comes to a close. Organized by the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA), this year’s fair is themed “Non-Oil Export for Economic Prosperity,” reflecting Dangote Group’s commitment to economic diversification.

Engaging Visitors with Diverse Offerings

Running from November 23 to December 7, 2024, the trade fair has seen Dangote’s pavilion actively engaging visitors through designated help desks that cater to their inquiries. According to a statement from the Branding and Corporate Communications Department of the Dangote Group, “Nigeria is a powerhouse for non-oil export, but only if it taps into its numerous resources and potentials.” The company has made significant investments in fertilizer, sugar, salt, and cement products across several African countries.

Over the weekend, the pavilion saw substantial engagement from distributors and retailers, many of whom are taking advantage of the trade fair to stock up for the upcoming festive season, ensuring they are prepared for increased demand. The company encourages attendees to visit its pavilion and explore various products on display, including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt, and Dangote Fertilizer.

Government Officials Praise Private Sector Contributions

During the fair, Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru Abubakar emphasized the importance of Public-Private Partnerships in Nigeria’s economic development. While visiting the Dangote pavilion, he acknowledged the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration’s recognition of the private sector’s crucial role.

Minister Badaru reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to restoring peace and stability, urging Nigerians to support the government with prayers and maintain confidence in the security forces, whose dedication is vital to sustaining these achievements.

Strong Partnerships for Economic Prosperity

Alhaji Garba Imam, President of KACCIMA, commended the Dangote Group for its unwavering support and partnership, highlighting the company’s consistent sponsorship of the annual event. Alhaji Sabiu Umar Yola, Director General of KACCIMA, noted, “The relationship between KACCIMA and Dangote has been very supportive and a great partnership.” This year’s theme aims to encourage Nigerians to explore alternative commodities for export, moving away from crude oil dependency.
