One thousand survivors of the Ebola disease in Democratic Republic of Congo have returned home amid songs, praises and dancing.
One of such survivors was Ms. Marguerite.
According to the United Nations Emergency Ebola Response Coordinator in DR Congo, David Gressly, who tweeted the video clip via his verified Twitter handle @DavidGressly on Friday, Marguerite was the 1,000th survivor of the scourge to return home.
“She dances along with the team and other survivors to celebrate that they are going back home after successfully beating #Ebola,” Gressly tweeted.
Earlier, in Mangina community where the first case of Ebola was detected, Dr. Faustin Bilé issued certificates of ‘freedom from Ebola’ to the 1,000 survivors.
