FEC Approves April As Take-Off Month For New Minimum Wage

Federal Executive Council (FEC), on Wednesday, approved April 18, 2019, as effective date of the new national minimum wage of N30,000.

Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo presided over the council meeting at the presidential villa, Abuja.

Osinbajo also directed the National Wages and Salaries Commission to communicate template of the approved consequential increases in salaries.

Professor Osinbajo said the National Wages and Salaries Commission to extend the minimum wage template to state and local governments.
