Gunmen Abduct 4 In Ekiti As Angered Residents Begin Protest

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have kidnapped four people in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.

The abduction took place on Tuesday as gunmen whisked away four persons including a couple, identified as Mr and Mrs Falomo and a man said to be a pastor.

This incident led to massive protests in the Goshen Land Community in the Ajebamidele area of the town.

Mrs Falomo was said to have been trailed to her residence by the kidnappers who were said to be armed with AK-47 rifles. Her husband who came out on a rescue mission was also abducted.

According to the residents, the kidnappers fired several gunshots into the air during the attack to scare away neighbours and passers-by.
